John Jimerson trained at Circle in the Square in New York and earned a degree in Theatre from Hendrix College. He has acted in New York, regionally, and on tour, and he’s happy that his career led to North Carolina. Favorite projects include Soundtrack to Cezanne,American Thighs (Workshop Theater Company); Acting Alone (Abingdon Theatre Company); You Can’t Take It With You, The Grapes of Wrath (Arkansas Repertory Theater); Otello (Metropolitan Opera Company); A Child’s Christmas in Wales (Willow Cabin Theatre Company); and Two Brothers – Who Are Not Brothers (Players Theatre). Recent local productions include Redghost and Glass (Little Green Pig), Bug (Raleigh Ensemble Players), Blue (Burning Coal), and Somewhere Out There (Urban Garden). John acts in commercials, industrials, film and theatre, and he looks forward to teaching what he loves.
