Tanner Lagasca

Tanner Lagasca - NRACT TeacherTanner Lagasca is the founder of Actors Training Ground in Raleigh, NC where he teaches acting classes, workshops and private coaching. He received his M.F.A. from the Actors Studio Drama School in New York and his B.F.A. from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He worked for three years at English Village in South Korea performing teaching English through Theatre. He was the Artistic Director for the theatre department at English Village from 2008 – 2009 where he designed and developed a three-week acting training program for adult non-actors in South Korea as well as produced over 18 full musicals and games shows and several seasonal projects including a Haunted House, Santa’s Village and two Children’s Day productions.

His body of theatrical work is extensive and diverse, performing in numerous musical productions including Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly! (California), The Birds, Electra, Psycho: the American Musical (Chicago) and The Barber of Seville (New York). He has toured extensively with many professional children’s theatre companies including National Theatre of Arts and Education (New York), National Theatre for Children (Minneapolis), and Poetry Alive, Inc. (Asheville, NC) and performed in the outdoor drama Unto These Hills in Cherokee, NC.  His directing credits include The Snow Queen, Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Little Shop of Horrors, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Bear, Sure Thing, and Andre’s Mother. He is happy to be teaching at NRACT again.
