Our fantastic community has done it again! Thanks to your donations, all of the new chairs are in place and they are beautiful to behold from the front row to the back. Many thanks to Mike, Ken, Leo, Mikey, Alex and Michael for volunteering three days to rip out the old chairs, paint the floors and install the new ones. We are also grateful to all the volunteers who spent a recent Saturday bravely cleaning out the prop and paint rooms. Our theatre home is ready for spring!

Camp registration is open! We are offering more full day camps this year with shows that will give your children a chance to shine on stage. There are camps for kids who love comedies, musicals, improv and Shakespeare. There are also half day camps available for the younger set. Spots are filling, so register soon!

On the second Tuesday evening of each month, come join us for a new event, True Muse Tuesdays (TMT). Participants are invited to tell a 5-7 minute story about themselves or their lives. Of course, if you want to come and just listen, you are welcome to do that too. We know that all of our community members have a story to tell (and some have many,) so we look forward to seeing you there!

We have one show left this season, so please mark your calendars to come see The Wind in the Willows in May. Memorial Day weekend will bring our third annual Plays in a Day festival, where our teens will direct and stage four one-act plays in one 24 hour period. It is always amazing to see what our kids can do with a lot of talent and very little sleep.

We are very excited to be celebrating our tenth anniversary as a community theatre! We have so much going on and we couldn’t do it without our wonderful volunteers and our generous donors. Thank you to everyone who has given so much to make our theatre such a success in its first decade. Plans are underway for our next 10 years, so let us know if you would like to get involved. We look forward to seeing you at the theatre!

Sincerely,

Marci Curtis
President, Board of Directors
North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre
