ON-CAMERA SHOW CAMP

This camp will teach students the similarities and differences between stage and film acting. Campers will work with current film and television scripts, as well as create their own scripts and then perform them for the camera! They will alternate roles, assisting in the production of scenes - lighting, slating and standing in as extras. At the end of the program, students will receive a DVD with a compilation of their work over the week.

In this full-day one-week show camp, musical campers will spend their mornings rehearsing and preparing their individual and group performances. After lunch the group will make costumes and participate in many fun activities to compliment and enhance their performance. Your child will learn to express themselves more easily and gain poise, self-confidence and self-awareness, while singing, dancing and having fun!

By playing games and learning to take risks in a safe environment, campers will develop the ability to tell stories collaboratively and in the moment. They will improve self-expression, listening skills, body awareness and boost self-confidence, while having a blast!

C.A.S.T. CAMP: nine to five

9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s. this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can't she?

“THE SHAKESPEARE MIX-UP” SHOW CAMP

While stressing out over a speech for class, Katie is visited by characters from Shakespeare, who use their most well-known lines to tell a present-day story and breathe new life into the Bard’s work. This is a fun play that will give campers a chance to become familiar with some of Shakespeare’s most well-known characters, and to see what might happen if they interested with one another.
