Yvonne Anderson (Executive Board, President) is a teacher, director, and arts advocate. She has been actively involved in the theater arts for over 30 years. She has been a member of the Prince William County, Virginia Cultural Arts Board, a past president of Prince William Little Theater's Board of Directors. Yvonne, a teacher with Wake County Public Schools, also works as a director, assistant director, producer, and costumer.
Rachel McKay (Executive Board, Vice President) is a costumer and sometimes performer in triangle community. She graduated from Appalachian State in 2013 with a degree in Theatre: Design Technology. Recent costume projects include The Women (Town of Cary), The Mousetrap (Cary Players), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Cary Players), and Picasso at the Lapin Agile (NRACT).
Jim Allen (Executive Board, Treasurer) has been volunteering on the NRACT Board for three years in the the role of Treasurer. Currently he is President and owner of Jim Allen Insurance Agency Inc. He has worked in the insurance industry since 2003. Prior to that he was a Financial Advisor from 1995-2003 with Beacon Financial Services Inc. From 1988 to 1995 he worked for several manufacturing firms as an engineer. He obtained a BS in Industrial Engineering at North Caroilina State University, 1988.
Adam Budlong (Executive Board, Secretary) has been active in community and semi-professional theatres in the Triangle since 1992. His passion is stage management, but he also enjoys all things technical, house management, and ushering. About the only place you won’t find him is on stage! Recent credits include Avenue Q (Stage Manager) for Raleigh Little Theatre, Skylight (Sound Operator), and The Wiz (Assistant Stage Manager) for Burning Coal Theatre.
Leslie Alger (Board Member) is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts with a degree in Vocal Performance. She performed for over ten years in Triangle area productions before taking time off to raise her children, Madelyn (a rising star in the theater community) and Nicholas (a video game programming fanatic). A thirty year childhood cancer survivor, Leslie is an avid volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s Relay or Life event and has raised over $25,000 for that organization. In 2017, she raised over $2000 for NRACT’s MISCAST: Bizarre Broadway event for which her daughter was a performer. She also volunteers for Backpack Buddies, Wake County Schools and her church, First United Methodist, Cary. Leslie has been married to her husband Bob for seventeen years and is thankful for his support in this endeavor.
David Henderson (Board Member) is a Morehead Scholar graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, and the founder and co-artistic director of Honest Pint Theatre Company. Most recently, he was seen as Doc in Honest Pint Theatre Company’s The Night Alive. Prior to that, he played the title role in Hamlet which earned him the Broadway World award for Best Actor in a Play. He also starred as Sweeney in Sweeney Todd at RLT and understudied the role for Playmakers Repertory Company. Favorite roles include, Ulysses in Annapurna, Joey in A Steady Rain, Fr. Laurence in Romeo and Juliet, Edward in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Mitch in Tuesdays with Morrie, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, John Adams in 1776, Bobby in Company, and Henry in Henry V. For the past 23 years, he has had the pleasure of playing Jacob Marley in Theatre in the Park’s annual production of A Christmas Carol. In September, you can see him as Edmund in King Lear with Honest Pint Theatre and Sweet Tea Shakespeare. Thanks to all of you that support the arts! Drink Deep!
Timothy E. Locklear (Board Member) has been involved in community theatre, both on and offstage for over thirty years. He studied under the late Joanne Bastian, of Lake Oswego, Oregan for 4 years. Tim has acted, stage managed and directed in his theatre career. Tim has been on the Board of Directors for The Marlboro Players (Bennettsville, SC); ENCORE! Theatre (Laurinburg, NC); and Raleigh Little Theatre (Raleigh, NC). Tim is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Jonathan McCarter (Board Member) is Education, Outreach, and Business Manager with NC Theatre Conservatory. He also proudly serves as a Board Member at North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre. Before moving to Raleigh Jonathan was Artistic Director for Jonesborough Repertory Theatre, in Jonesborough, TN and prior to that Director of Education and Outreach for Opera Memphis. He received his BFA in Performance Theatre from University of Memphis. Between TN and NC he has directed over 30 productions along with having multiple plays of his own produced and performed. Jonathan sends his love to his wife of many years, Rebecca, and son of many months, Everett.
Elaine Petrone (Past President, Board Member) has served on the NRACT board since 2014. Elaine discovered her passion for community theatre in 2004 has been active at various Raleigh area community theatres ever since, including serving 5 years on the board of directors for Raleigh Little Theatre. In the coming year, her focus for NRACT will be on strengthening the technical resources for our NRACT productions.
Andrea Richardson (Board Member) grew up in Brooklyn NY, and moved the the Raleigh, NC area in 2006. She holds an Associate Degree in Dance from Long Island University, a Bachelor of Sicence in Urban Development and a Master in Divinity from Shaw Universtiy. She is employed with the Department of Justice Bureau of Prisons as a Case Manager. Andrea developed a passion for event production and event planning. This lead to her creation her Event Company NuSol Production Group. From this company the NuSol Natural Hair Expo was birthed. The Expo has draws up to 2500 people every year. The gathering hosts local talent, vendors and more! The expo features a keynote speaker each year such as Olympic Gold Metalist Gabby Douglas. She is married to Rueben and they two children Emirah and Abram. She enjoys theatre, friends fun, and serving her community.
Carrie Santiago (Board Member) is an internationally-acclaimed Triangle-area singer, dancer, actor, choreographer with credits ranging from Third Nun from the right at a tiny regional dinner theater in Sanford to Third Nun from the left on the Vegas stage, film, television, commercial, and internet. "International" might be a bit of a stretch, but there is at least one person living in Korea, Ghana, Ecuador and England who've seen, and enjoyed, her work. She recorded her debut full-length album "Why Did I Wait?" in the fall of 2016 (to be released soon). Outside of the performing arts, Carrie is a photographer, scrapbooker, quilter, and has worked full time for over 22 years as a software developer for the Cary-based, largest privately owned software company in the world. As a member of the Board of Directors for NRACT, Carrie hopes to be able to bridge the worlds of theater, technology, and business to help guide NRACT in the most successful direction possible.
