Staff
Lormarev Jones is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist with an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. Most recently, she served as Assistant Professor and Director of Theatre at Meredith College. Her professional credits span directing, choreography, and work as a Certified Intimacy Director, along with experience as a Production Manager and Producer. A graduate of Meredith College, Jones is deeply connected to the Raleigh arts community.
Managing Director
Jess Barbour brings a wealth of experience to the position, including previous service as Artistic Director at NRACT. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Elon University and studied at The William Esper Studio in New York City. With more than 60 theatrical productions to her credit, Barbour is an accomplished director, choreographer, and teaching artist. Her extensive career also includes acting across theatre, film, and commercial projects.
Artistic Director
Bill Yates, Jr. oversees the technical production and staging elements that bring the company’s performances to life. An experienced theatre technician and designer, Bill has an extensive resume in the arts. He was Technical Director for North Carolina Theatre for 17 years and also with the Carolina Ballet and Long Beach CLO in California. He’s toured with several productions, as well as worked in movies and television.
Technical Director
Brian Fisher has been with NRACT since 2023. He retired from Wake County Public School System after thirty years as a teacher in NC, PA, and NY. He has been involved with theatre arts for most of life, both as a performer and director.
