Our Teachers
Lindsey Atkins has been a part of the NRACT community for half of her life. Starting as a student, Lindsey enjoys giving back as a teacher to the theatre that gave her so much. She enjoys performing as well and has been on the NRACT stage often. When not at a theatre, Lindsey teaches First Grade in Wake County Public Schools. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and volunteering at the local animal center.
LINDSEY ATKINS
Victoria Barnes holds a BFA in Theatre Design and Technical Production from UNCG. She has been the Stage Manager and Lighting Designer at Forest Moon Theatre, NRACT, and Cary Players.
VICTORIA BARNES
Ashlynn Charles is a graduate of William Peace University with a degree in musical theatre and is now an elementary music teacher. She has appeared on stage as Alice in Death by Design, Julian in The Wedding Singer, and as a member of the Greek Chorus in Burial at Thebes.
ASHLYNN CHARLES
Landon Henry is a Raleigh-based educator and theatre professional. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a major in Theatre Performance, studying the Meisner Technique and Lugering Method. As an actor, he has performed with NRACT, Raleigh Little Theatre, Southern Repertory Theatre, and the Natchez Festival of Music. He is currently a teacher in the Wake County Public School System.
LANDON HENRY
Since 1992, Romni Rossi has appeared in over 75 theatrical productions and independent films. She has been an improv teacher in the Triangle area for over 20 years, teaching at NRACT since 2002. She is a founding member of Venus Fly Trap Comedy (2018), and a member of Raleigh’s Village Idiots Improv Troupe (1998). She performed Commedia Dell’arte with iFirenzi. Currently, she can be found singing in her band Redrum by Numbers and she just appeared in a production of The Whirling Dervish.
ROMNI ROSSI
Peter Comperatore has been a Wake County Theatre teacher since 2010. Peter has had 4 productions represent the State of North Carolina at the Southeastern Theatre Conference: The Yellow Boat (2016), 26 Pebbles (2019) and Ernest and the Pale Moon (2020) at Sanderson High School and Anon(ymous) (2025) at Green Hope High School. Peter has been the director and teacher of NRACT's CAST Camp since he moved to the area in 2008 and has directed several other productions at NRACT including Heathers: The Musical, First Date the Musical and Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead.
PETER COMPERATORE
John DuVall is an award-winning actor originally from Toledo, Oh. He started his life in the theatre in the sixth grade, and has never looked back. Besides over 100 stage productions, John has been in industrial films, commercials, and locally made movies. He has been teaching acting for over 20 years, and loves to ensure every student has a strong base of skills, an understanding of why theatre matters, and to foster a love of the arts. He has been a successful producer and director , although acting is his main passion.
JOHN DUVALL
Emily Arbour is a voice teacher and music director with seven years of experience. As the Vocal Teaching Artist in Residence at Ravenscroft, she teaches private voice and piano, works with choral ensembles, and directs and coaches the school musicals. Emily has taught various classes at the NC Theatre Conservatory, including Acting Through Song, Vocal Technique, Music Theory, and genre-specific vocal repertoire (e.g., Legit, Belt/Contemporary, Pop/Rock/Folk). Outside of teaching, she performs with the NC Master Chorale, NC Opera, and local theatres. Emily is passionate about vocal health and helping students set goals to grow as singers and performers.
